Description

Notes: Frank? Cousin Frank? Bessie? Another mystery… but my guess is that Frank (and his wife, Bessie?) are related from the Baker side of the family. One of Frank’s parents was probably a sibling of Mary Emma (Baker) Cotton. Frank, the author of this note, certainly has mastered a telegraphic style of writing. The greeting “Dear Cousin” is not the only time in these cards that the family relationship is explicitly stated. It makes it clear that family counted, and that much of the day-to-day contact was with people who were related.
