Title
July 23, 1910 A
Subject
Merrimac River and Pinnacle, Hooksett, N.H.
Description
Notes:
A bridge crossing at this location on the Merrimac River made Hooksett a vital community in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. (This image was probably shot from the bridge.) Today the interstate bypasses the town. My sense is that the tower atop the Pinnacle is long gone and the Pinnacle itself is overgrown…
On the other hand, Robie’s Store (where this card was probably bought) is still there and the home you see in the center of the card –with attached barn and cupalo – is also. The address is 456 W. River Road.
You can see Emma’s “x” on the tower.
