William H. Smith
William Smith performed with and managed Cotton & Murphy's Minstrels in the mid 1860s. Like Ben Cotton, Joseph Murphy, and Smith all served as understudys to Tom Maguire and his California theatrical management. Smith launched his own troupe that toured in Australia.
